Little EQ uses a VST3 feature called "silence flags," allowing the DAW to inform the plugin about sound presence. When no sound is detected, the plugin can skip processing for better performance. Little EQ resets various values using this feature, which is optional in Reaper.
If disabled, Little EQ won’t work properly. When enabled, the DAW notifies Little EQ of silence, reducing CPU usage to nearly 0% and freeing up processing power for other tracks and plugins. This only affects Little EQ and requires activation just once, so please enable it on first use.
Cubase offers 32-bit and 64-bit processing, with 64-bit processing reducing noise and precision loss. Modern computers show little speed difference, so 64-bit is preferred for better sound quality. Little EQ works with both precisions and functions in the same way.
